A Premier Jazz Collective

 The DFW Jazz Network is a non-profit organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. The DFW Jazz Network aims to inspire an appreciation for jazz through live concerts, recordings, and educational outreach.

 

The DFW Jazz Network consists of performers, educators, and jazz enthusiasts who have a passion for America's greatest art form. By using the various connections within the community, the DFW Jazz Network strives to promote an appreciation for jazz across all generations.

Meet the DFW Jazz Orchestra

The DFW Jazz Orchestra is a 16-piece jazz band well versed in both the traditional and modern styles of jazz. The DFW Jazz Orchestra members came to the DFW area from various parts of the world. They have toured, educated, mentored, and recorded with some of the most influential jazz musicians in the world. The current members have been associated with names such as Billy Hart, Roy Hargrove, Christian McBride, Duke Ellington Orchestra, Eddie Gomez, Dick Oatts, Steve Gadd, Chris Potter, Herb Ellis, Defeayo Marsalis, Ellis Marsalis, and Jimmy Cobb.

Education is a large part of the DFW Jazz Network's vision. The current members of the DFW Jazz Orchestra are not only renowned performers, but also recognized educators. At the collegiate level, our members are on faculty at schools such as The University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Texas Christian University, and more.
